Kalapana is the self-titled debut album by Hawaiian pop rock quartet Kalapana. In its day, it was one of the most popular records of Hawaii where every song received airplay on a regular basis. A few years later, some would call this type of music as "Yacht Rock". This is from a Japanese remaster released by Victor Entertainment/JVC on 18 February, 2006.

G-Force is a 1980 album by the namesake UK-American band led by Irish guitarist, Gary Moore. Moore was on an American tour with Thin Lizzy and left the band mid-tour. He went to Los Angeles in an attempt to make a solo rock presence. With the opportunity to tour America in support of Van Halen, Moore recruited bassist Tony Newton (Motown session player and ex-Tony Williams Lifetime), vocalist Willie Dee (born Willy Daffern; ex-Captain Beyond/Pipedream) and percussionist Mark Nauseef (formerly with the Ian Gillan Band and Elf) and the band was formed as G-Force. The tour was a success, and the band supported Whitesnake on their 1980 Ready an' Willing trek. However, the band was short lived, only producing the one eponymous album and re-mixed by Dennis Mackay. The album consisted of more conventional hard rock radio oriented music than Moore's previous efforts. "Trust Your Lovin'" (Newton, Dee) is a non album track, only released on the 7" single "You". Soon after the album was released, G-Force disbanded and Moore joined with Greg Lake of Emerson, Lake & Palmer fame, on a new venture.

This 2005 set is a good collection of 24 love songs from throughout Elvis' career. Although there are a couple of odd choices like "Hawaiian Wedding Song" here, for the most part this concentrates on Elvis' big hit ballads and slow dance favorites, which makes this a good choice for love-minded listeners on a budget.

Rare stuff from John Coltrane! The album features Trane playing tenor on only 4 of the album's 8 tracks – making it kind of surprising that they used his name in the title – but the album is a lesser-known batch of large group recordings that offer an interesting early chapter in his career! The main force behind the album is arranger Harry Tubbs – possibly not a name that's as sexy as John Coltrane, hence the billing – but a worthy leader for the date, given the quality of the music.

Anyone who thinks of Humble Pie solely in terms of their latter-day boogie rock will be greatly surprised with this, the band's second release, for it is almost entirely acoustic. There is a gently rocking cover of Buddy Holly's "Heartbeat," and a couple of electrified Steve Marriott numbers, but the overall feel is definitely more of the country than the town or city. "The Sad Bag of Shaky Jake" is a typical Marriott country ditty, similar to those he would include almost as a token on each of the subsequent studio albums, and "Every Mother's Son" is structured as a folk tale.
