Once in a long while, a musical synergy erupts that leaves a mark for generations. Asia’s initial incarnation pooled together the considerable talents of past members of such legendary groups as Yes, King Crimson, Roxy Music, Uriah Heep and EL&P. After 7 studio albums, and 4 greatest hits compilations, Asia released Aura in February 2001. This album produced what a great number of fans have called the most creative Asia record ever, and garnered some of the finest reviews the band has ever received. Silent Nation, a deliberate return to the rock roots from which Asia was born, is the 2004 follow up to Aura. With solid rock tracks like Ghost In The Mirror and What About Love, Silent Nation is poised to bring Asia’s distinctive brand of music back to the masses. Silent Nation also heralds the first album released under Asia’s new record label, Inside Out Music.

Universal Masters Collection album for sale by Asia was released on the Universal Distribution label. Universal Masters Collection buy CD music Quite a few prog rock veterans got the hint upon the dawn of the '80s – long and winding epics were out; streamlined and focused compositions were in.

This Asia comes from America and was active even years before the british Asia. They played a mixture of AOR, Progressive Rock and Pomprock, like a mix between Rush and Le Roux. In the late 1970s they released 2 records that have now been re-issued onto 1 CD. The CD contains 12 tracks and comes with an extensive story written by guitarist/ keyboardplayer Mike Coates. Definitely worth checking out. Unfortunately this band's history was completely overshadowed by that supergroup of the same name.

This is an Asia release, and John Payne is performing on it, along with of course Geoff Downes. Some people mistakenly refer to this as a non-Asia release because it only features the two artists and obviously, being mainly short instrumental pieces, sounds nothing like anything else Asia has released. However…for the bulk of the 1990's Asia was the prog Steely Dan as both Downes and Payne were the only two members, augmented by session musicians. (1994's "Aria" was the only Asia 'band' release of the decade.) "Rare" is actually the most progressive Asia release to date. Payne does contribute vocals, although no lyrics, although his main contributions are guitar and bass ; this is still mainly Geoff's show, as his brilliant keyboards dominate.

The original lineup of the supergroup Asia – vocalist/bass guitarist John Wetton, guitarist Steve Howe, keyboardist Geoff Downes, and drummer Carl Palmer – first reunited for a tour in 2006 to celebrate the upcoming 25th anniversary of 1982's Asia album, and then hit the road again to support 2008's Phoenix. This album was just the third Asia studio effort from these renowned progressive rock veterans. In early 2011, Asia released a solid live album, Spirit of the Night: The Phoenix Tour Live in Cambridge 2009. The group's debut album, ASIA, was released 26 years ago in 1982, and remains one of only 4 albums in history to stay at the Billboard album chart position of #1 for a staggering nine weeks! Formed at the dawn of the MTV era, ASIA was the first super group of the 1980s, featuring members from Yes, Emerson Lake & Palmer, King Crimson and The Buggles. Videos made for the band's first two albums, Asia and Alpha, were a staple part of the historic music channel's initial programming.
