"Law Of The Order" is a CD that is hard to categorize. This isn’t your typical hair metal. It isn’t flamboyant enough to be glam (but they sure tried to market the band that way). This is more of a straight forward hard rock cd, and a very good one at that. "Law Of The Order" is one of those CD’s that you truly need to hear to appreciate. There are several really good songs on this disc including Paris Calling, Somebody’s Falling, Get Some Strange, Passion to Ashes, and an excellent jamming cover of the Fleetwood Mac tune, The Chain.
In 1968 Graham Bond left the Britain after the collapse of the Graham Bond Organisation to record two legendary albums for mercury records in the us. Recorded in Los Angeles, Love Is The Law saw Bond play all instruments on the album (except drums) & featured material that featured jazz influences alongside emerging psychedelic & underground rock influences resulting in a truely unique and highly sought after work, laced with fine musicianship and mystical lyrics. Previously bootlegged on CD with poor quality sound, this esoteric release of love is the law has been re-mastered from the original master tapes and restores the original artwork with a new essay to make the definitive edition of this classic album.
Released in October 1980, Saxon's third album (and second LP of 1980!) was the second to be produced by the band in association with Pete Hinton at Ramport Studios. Opening with the self-explanatory 'Heavy Metal Thunder', like its predecessor Wheels Of Steel, Strong Arm Of The Law features many tracks that have remained staples of Saxon's live set to the present day, and now includes the complete 1982 Kid Jensen B15 session, recorded live in the studio for BBC Radio 1, new mixes taken from the original 24 track tapes of '20,000 Ft' and 'Heavy Metal Thunder', plus an alternate take of 'To Hell And Back Again', remixed at Abbey Road Studios by Pete Mew. It also features the previously unreleased 'Mandy', an early working version of 'Sixth Form Girls'. It also features rare memorabilia and extensive liner notes written in co-operation with lead singer Biff Byford.
