With a perfectly blended fusion of numerous musical styles and ideas, the Ozrics elevate consciousness and open the spaces on their sophomore post-cassette outing (which includes a re-recorded "Eternal Wheel," originally laid down in the cassette days). The infusion of reggae, dub, and Middle Eastern elements help to make this particular set a true joy to experience - it's hard not to bliss out while this is playing. Ozric Tentacles have developed an impressive following during their existence, defying every attempt to pigeonhole them as one thing or another - the best approach is simply to abandon all categories and go with the flow.

While the mainstream media was as far away from experimental space rock as it ever has been in 1991, Ozric Tentacles was making fascinating and very original music with few noticing outside of their homegrown "crusty movement." Mind-bogglingly talented and forward-thinking, Ozric Tentacles took this moment in their career to take their folk tendencies, add a heaping dose of weirdness, and connect it all with a dash of the emerging electronica scene to create a wildly experimental yet highly accessible sound that was all their own…

Technicians Of The Sacred is the first all-new Ozric Tentacles album since 2011's Paper Monkeys (and their first double album since their classic Erpland release of 1990), and comprises eleven tracks, with over ninety minutes of music. Tracks such as Switchback, Rubbing Shoulders With The Infinite and Butterfly Garden are brilliant examples of the Ozrics musical art; pulsating rhythms and blissed-out tunefulness present and correct. The band are to undertake a twenty-four date European tour in late April and May 2015, including twelve UK shows to promote the much-anticipated release of Technicians of the Sacred, with further gigs in the USA to follow.

Ozric Tentacles are a truly curious bunch in that they have this unerring tendency and uncanny ability to make great scads of progressive and space music that has true heart. There are very few times when one can connect fabulous technical skill with such a strongly emotional core, and never mind the mystical triggers. Aside from this - sort of typical marked praise - there is the Ozric ability to blend ideas and styles, causing fairy-light synthesizer washes to turn into dub riddims, which then support jazz elements that fade away to another dose of the fairy-light synthesizer washes, except that this time they're riding on top of the dub. This is definitely music you can groove to, trance to, meditate to, or just be to.

Recorded at the final gig of the band's 2002 sell out UK tour, this two hour concert captures the very essence of the Ozrics live experience with a frenzied capacity crowd at London's Shepards Bush Empire. The DVD includes classics from Ozric Tentacles' vast back catalogue as well as previously unreleased material and the odd 'space-jam' where the band free themselves from the shackles of rehearsed material and let the music wander into unknown territory.

Vitamin Enhanced is a 6-disc box set by English psychedelic rock band Ozric Tentacles. It compiles the band's six first recordings, originally released in the 1980s. The first six albums were originally released on cassette, handmade by the band, and only sold at festivals and concerts. In 1993, the albums were transferred to CD, and the compiling box set was first released in November 1994 through the band's independent record label, Dovetail Records. The original pressing was limited to 5,000 copies. Not much later, the box set was withdrawn due to complaints from food company Kellogg’s, since they alleged the design of the box was too similar to their Corn Flakes one…

Sunrise Festival is the band's live album, recorded June 2007 at the Sunrise Festival in the UK, featuring many of the band's classic tracks, which for longtime fans might be a little of "jeez, haven't we heard those tunes enough already?", but for those new to the Ozric's, this is a great sounding, red hot set.

With their album "Curious Corn", the Ozric Tentacles were able to relaunch their recording career in 1997. Simon Eddie Baker writes in the liner notes, "The opening track "Spyroid" sets the scene - its electronic spiralling loop builds and then fades into "Oolite Grove", a track where guitarist Ed Wynne lets us all know that the Ozrics are back, and on their own terms! It's a space guitar masterpiece, twisting and soaring unpredictably all over the place sending the listener on an epic journey of spaced out grooves and frantic rhythms. The album's master stroke is "Afroclonk" - one of the funkiest Ozric tracks ever written…

This two CD set featured the first and the third studio releases of the band. Listening to the Ozrics can result in the feeling of one's consciousness going into a cosmically vast spin-dizzy state with no chemical or visual stimulation required to generate the effect. That shift of consciousness is certainly an immediate side-effect of "Pungent Effulgent", caused by the painless move between pyrotechnic instrumental workouts, drifting musical structures (such as "Phalarn Dawn") where languid dancing with lighted incense sticks seems called for, and the off-kilter space-reggae-rock-dub that forms the flow of "The Domes of G'Bal"…

Double-CD reissue of two Ozric Tentacles studio albums originally released as cassette albums. Both albums have been remastered for this release; neither has been remixed. All of the basics of the Ozric Tentacles sound and method are well in evidence, though in a slightly rougher and narrower form - the layers of sound are not quite as intense and rich as they later came to be (bass could definitely use a boost; part of the listening experience is, unfortunately, contained in fiddling with EQ controls to alleviate this kind of thing) and there are some moments where it becomes obvious that there was no money available to go back for another take, or to spend time editing what they had…
