Fiona Joy Hawkins is an Australian composer, vocalist, and pianist, who uses the stage-name Fiona Joy. She is no stranger to acoustic instrumental music. "Signature-Solo" is Fiona's debut album of solo contemporary piano music. This album also marks Tiny Island Music's debut as record/imprint label under the well known audiophile label, Blue Coast Music Group, recorded live to analog tape and yhe label's first native double DSD release. Included on the album is new performance of Fiona Joy's song Grace, which was part of a Grammy winning album in 2015.

Late Swedish jazz saxophonist and clarinetist Arne Domnérus, the man behind the audiophile classic Jazz at the Pawnshop, leads his sextet on this 1982 session featuring music of Georg Riedel. The musicians are joined by the Immanuelskyrkans Kör choir directed by Ingemar Braennström on this recording, originally released by Swedish audiophile label Proprius.

Originally broadcast on radio in France more than five decades ago, these long-lost tracks were unearthed in the vaults of the ORTF (Office of French Radio and Television, now Maison de Radio France) and are available for the first time on this album. The iconic jazz organist is joined on 1964 and 1965 studio and live recordings by Woody Shaw on trumpet, bandleader Nathan Davis on saxophone and drummer Billy Brooks, plus guest musicians from France, Italy and other countries. Among the many highlights is an over 20 minute version of “Zoltan” that would reappear on Young's classic Unity LP.

Hajime Mizoguchi (溝口 肇) is a Japanese cellist and composer. Mizoguchi started playing piano in 1963, at the age of 3, and the cello in 1971. From 1978–1985 he attended the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music where he majored in violoncello. While at school, he started playing the cello with Japanese pop-singers and working as a studio musician for radio, TV, films, and albums.

Scott LaFaro was one of the twentieth century’s most influential jazz musicians. During his tragically short life, Scott LaFaro quickly developed into one of the most advanced bassists around, competing with Charlie Haden and Charles Mingus. He emphasized high notes, could play with great speed, and his interplay with Bill Evans in their trio was mutually stimulating and influential. Best known for his landmark recordings with Bill Evans, LaFaro played bass a mere seven years before his life and career were cut short by an automobile accident when he was only 25 years old, his sudden death causing a major shock to the jazz world.

Recorded on Sept 3, 1965 at the now-defunct Judson Hall in Manhattan, these live tracks from saxophonist Charles Lloyd and his quartet have never been released before. In fact this marks the first-ever official appearance on record from Lloyd and his masterful quartet of guitarist Gábor Szabó, bassist Ron Carter and drummer Pete La Roca. Live at Art D’Lugoff’s Top of the Gate, a previously unreleased recording captured over a half century ago consists of two blistering sets recorded at the legendary venue in October, 1968. Digitally remastered from the original tapes, the album features one of jazz’s most prominent trios – pianist Bill Evans, drummer Marty Morell and bassist Eddie Gomez.

The first previously unreleased music by Shirley Horn in nearly a decade was recorded live at the 4 Queens Hotel in Las Vegas in May 1988 and feature Horn's longtime trio, bassist Charles Ables and drummer Steve Williams. The set was recorded by KNPR radio for a syndicated jazz show and captures the angora-voiced jazz singer and pianist at the very beginning of her resurgence on the jazz scene.
