French composer/conductor Paul Mauriat is a classically trained musician who decided to pursue a career in popular music. His first major success came in 1962, as a co-writer of the European hit "Chariot." In 1963, the song was given English lyrics, renamed "I Will Follow Him," and became a number one American hit for Little Peggy March. Mauriat is best remembered for his 1968 worldwide smash "Love Is Blue."

Andrew Eigus was born in Riga in 1973. Selffish materialised in 2002.The name Selffish denotes a paradigm shift in Andrew's life. The music Selffish produced was slower and more refined than Eigus's earlier works. The major contribution to his production comes from the samples he obtains from field recordings across the baltic landscapes, laced with human voice, his playing the retro grand piano and other acoustic instruments, and of course from the people around him.
