The 5th album by the American Hard Rock band Dirty Looks, released in 1989 by Atlantic Records. This cd sound fits right in with all the great cds he has put out in the past and keeps the 80's feel but makes it fresher. Vocals are outstanding, Guitars and musicianship are excellent.

American rapper David Hutto unveiled his killer scarecrow persona Boondox at the turn of the millennium, catching the eyes of Insane Clown Posse. He was the first Southern artist added to the clowns' growing roster at Psychopathic Records, marking the label's expansion of its deranged and murderous brand of rap-rock within the indie rap sphere. The divergence from Boondox's Detroit-based labelmates was apparent in his hillbilly getup – scarecrow hat, flannel shirt, and country boots – and the Southern twang of banjos and harmonicas mixed in with his rap beats.

Dangerous Toys is an Austin, Texas-based hard rock band with often humorous lyrics. Founded in 1987, Dangerous Toys had released four full-length albums and one live album before unofficially disbanding at the turn of the millennium. The R*tist 4*merly Known as Dangerous Toys is the fourth album by Dangerous Toys. The album's title is a parody of the name used in reference to American recording artist Prince from 1991 - 2000. The album cover art work is also a parody of Prince's album Lovesexy.

Originally released around the turn of the millennium, Musick to Play in the Dark featured a restarted Coil at bay, with original members John (later Jhonn) Balance (R.I.P.) and Peter Christopherson joined by synthesist/bassist Thighpaulsandra, and Drew McDowall (replaced by Rose McDowall on the second volume). These are long-form works, collections of mood pieces in several modes, and what’s interesting (and somewhat predictable) is that the patience displayed while shifting in between these modes creates a tension and space that feels… almost removed from music by a step, as if the performance decided to slowly back away from Coil at a respectful, totality-fearing distance…

The Rose Consort of Viols, already acclaimed for their recordings of later English repertoire, have been inspired by viol-maker Richard Jones’ reconstructions of a Venetian instrument by Francesco Linarol – the earliest viol surviving from the 16th century – and trace a path from the viol’s northern Italian origins to England, where it found a particularly welcome home at the turn of the 1600s.

Country, Americana | MP3 CBR 320 kbps | 46:38 min | ~107 MB
Label: Medina River Records | Tracks: 13 | Rls.date: 2014

The Far West marry the classic yearning and killer hooks of good alt-country with the romp and holler of something more. It could be said they’re an evolved version the sound dubbed “Alt-country” around the turn of the century - they’re helping Americana grow and breathe. In terms of comparison, they’re reminiscent in some ways of a grittier Dawes, but with a little more rasp and AM country flair. There’s a rollicking bite and kick, like The Felice Brothers at their finest, and it’s the raw simplicity and sincerity of the songs that make these songs so good, and, authentic.

Attic's debut album, 'The Invocation', is an album that King Diamond could listen to, think he himself had written and then also performed on. The songs presented here are filled with horror/occult inspired lyrics, a singer that sounds as every bit as strong or stronger than King Diamond, has well written songs and excellent guitar work.
