The VIVALDI METAL PROJECT is a music creation born from an idea conceived and developed by Italian keyboard player, composer and producer MISTHERIA (solo artist, Bruce Dickinson, Rob Rock, Roy Z, Artlantica). The project is a symphonic-metal opera based on Antonio Vivaldi’s Baroque masterwork “The Four Seasons”, featuring more than 130 amazing metal and classical artists, orchestra, a string quartet and three choirs from all over the world. The album features 14 tracks - all the movements from Antonio Vivaldi's original score plus two original new songs written by MISTHERIA. The impressive roster of artists probably makes this titanic album the biggest all-star project ever!
Closer To Daylight is the second studio album by italian progressive metal band Soul Secret. It is the band’s first recording with their brand new lineup, featuring Claudio Casaburi on bass and Fabio Manda on vocals. Recorded at Musa Musa and at Soul Secret Studios during 2010, it was mixed and mastered by Markus Teske and the artwork was entirely created by Alexandra V Bach. It features guest stars like Marco Sfogli (James LaBrie) in “River’s Edge” and Arno Menses (Subsignal, ex Sieges Even) in “Aftermath”, a 16+ minutes trip between heaviness, melody and pure progressive elements. Every element found in their debut album, Flowing Portraits, has been brought to a higher level!
'Every Guitar Hero Needs a Ballad'. That is what our co-founder Jan Cyrka said when we decided to create our first ever JTC original full length album. Vai, Satriani, you name them…they have one! So we spoke to a number of the artists on our glittering roster and asked them to compose their ultimate ballad. The result is a powerful album that is full of pure emotion and drive and takes you on a journey through the minds of 11 incredibly talented guitar players and composers.
The Road Home is a cover album by Jordan Rudess. It was released on September 12, 2007. Rudess's arrangements of these classic prog tracks include many sections that were not in the original songs, especially solos. Track 5 is the only original piece. The Road Home is both homage and crowning achievement in prog rock’s great exploratory tradition. Just as Emerson rearranged Tchaikovsky, Rodrigo, Janacek, Copland, Mussorgsky and “Lux” Lewis, Rudess decodes established classics while sculpting his own distinctive style.
Over a year in the making, drumming legend Virgil Donati's much anticipated solo record "In This Life" is destined to set the bar for explorations in rhythm. The album was produced, written and arranged by Donati, and mixed by Alex Argento. Virgil s drumming has arguably been at the leading edge for at least a decade, and as this record displays, his compositional and orchestration skills are also coming to the fore.
